rapid review #1

Hello gorgeous! I will be starting these series called "Rapid Review" where I will review items that I recently got(almost like a haul but with reviews of the products) by giving an overview, swatches, etc.

So here are the items I got and will be reviewing today (ALL drugstore)

I purchased these at H-E-B which is so super duper shocking because I never knew they sold beauty AND they had coupons!!!(I will be linking the products to other online stores since H-E-B does not sell beauty online) Anyways let's get on started.

COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush in SNOW PLUM $4-$5: This is a beautiful light pinky/peach with shimmers in the package, but when you swatch it, it is like a highlights with the tiniest shimmers that is not that noticeable until you step out in the sunlight. When I first opened the blush, it had a VERY strong perfume smell which I wasn't that big of a fan of, but you cannot smell it once you apply it to your cheeks. The included brush is very crappy. No joke, I rather use my fingers. The packaging isn't that great either but it is standable. Overall: 7/10

MAYBELLINE Volum' Express Cat Eye Waterproof in Glam Black $6-$8: I love this mascara. It holds my curl which is the MOST important thing I look for in a mascara and it does not smudge for about 7 hours. This mascara is a true black, gives the perfect base and adds enough length but not alot of volume. Also, since I consider this the "perfect base", I do not use this by itself, I add a coat of the Falsies Flared on top and I get the perfect about of length and volume and mind you, I have Asian lashes, the worst kind. Love love this mascara. Overall: 8/10

PS: I was in a rush therefore my lashes don't look that great.

ALMAY Color + Care Liquid Lip Balm in BLOOMING $4-$6: First of all, I am not a big fan of Almay makeup so when I heard about their new lip lip line, I was a bit skeptical, but I actually kind of like it. The product is a beautiful warm pink shade with no shimmers. It does no feel sticky and has OK color payoff. To be honest, I don't feel like this is as moisturizing as a lip balm, but more than regular lip glosses and does not last long. I don't really find myself reaching for this that often but its a nice thing to have in your purse. Overall: 6/10

JORDANA Color Effects Powder Eyeshadow Single in YOUR MAJESTY $2-$3: This is a very buttery soft matte brown eyeshadow. The pigmentation isn't THE best (without primer), but for the price you pay for it, it's totally worth it. The color lasts for a long time and does not come off easily if you just use water. I totally recommend it. Overall:(for the price you pay) 9/10

JORDANA InColor Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner Pen in BROWN$4-$5: Worst for last, eh? Well, I hate this. So much. I'm not sure if I got a bad tube but this stuff sucks. The formula is SOOOO watery and there is like almost no pigmentation.(In the pictures, I had to shake ALOT and press hard) The color comes out like an orange/brown almost looking like poop. I can't say how the staying power is since I could never wear this in public. I really like the packaging tho and the brush... Overall: 2/10

BEWARE youtube giveaway scammers!

So about a few weeks ago, I entered xteeener's Sigma eye pencil giveaway. Then just about a day or two ago, I receive a message through Youtube from her (or so I thought) saying that I won the giveaway. LIES.

It wasn't her. There was just a 1 letter difference in the username, but I was wayyyyy to ecstatic to pay attention to the small minor detail.

Here is the message.

I mean c'mon, this looks so legit. So anyways, as you can see, that person told me to go to a link to enter my info, although I was a bit skeptical about it, I clicked it and it lead to a very sketchy website called "ytgiveaway.com" or something like that and asked you for your youtube username and emai. Like I said, I was kind of suspicious but I still entered those 2 information and when I got to the next "step", I was 100% sure it was a scam. It wanted me to complete those fake "survey/win a blah blah" to prove I'm human. Like whadafuq. Do you think I'm a giraffe.

So that was when I realized it wasn't the person "xteeener". And I wasn't the only one that was targeted, there are tons of other similar stories, so BEWARE!

lancôme blush subtil review

Hello my beautiful sunshines! :)

Today, I decided to do a review on the "lancôme blush subtil" because my friends wanted to know how they were like so I thought, "why not just post it on my blog?". Anyways, I received these sample/travel sized (0.07 ounces) blushes in "Rose Fresque" and "Shimmer Mandarin Sky" as a gift from previous lancôme purchases. Anyways, let's get started!

First of all, these blushes retail for $30 and you get 0.18 ounces of product. (Lancome Deal: Receive 10% off of your purchase. Expires 7/23/2013.)

Lancôme states that this blush "delivers natural-looking, long-lasting color" and is "a silky-soft, micro-bubble formula glides on easily and evenly" AND is "moisture-balancing and oil-absorbing properties from mica keep skin comfortable and color true."

PACKAGING

The packaging is made out of a shiny black plastic with a rose embossed on the front.(I don't think the full size has it) The packaging also included a mirror inside and a blush brush(full size only).

COLOR/SWATCHES

(from left to right: shimmer mandarin sky, rose fresque)

SHIMMER MANDARIN SKY: This is a beautiful coral-y salmon color with gold shimmers. Perfect for summer.(lancome description: salmon peach with soft gold shimmer)

ROSE FRESQUE: This is a gorgeous soft dusky rose color with no shimmers. This one is my favorite for everyday wear. (lancome description: dusty rose-y pink.)

TEXTURE/QUALITY

These blushes are not very pigmented, but when you glide it over your cheeks, it gives the prettiest hint of color without making you look like Nicki Minaj. The blush is in fact buttery and very soft and lasts for a decent amount of time. I honesty do not think it "absorbs" oil, for me at least. This blush is very good quality and I would purchase it in full size. (I'm thinking "soft pink")

I love shopping. And when there's a sale? Girl, that is what I call heaven. I usually don't shop at Gilly or Abercrombie but they had good deals so what the hay. This hoodie is a beautiful bright seafoam-y color with shine threading in the logo. It is made out of a super soft material. I find that this hoodie runs bigger than their other ones so that is why I looks so big on me, but hey, I love big hoodies.

This sweater is very stretchy and consists of a baggy shoulder/armpit area and becomes tight in the forearms.

JERSEY TOP WITH LACE in XSMALL//BLACK- $12.95

This is seriously my favourite purchase of this haul. It so simple yet fancy and will match almost anything. I got $5 off my purchase thanks to Wrapp (I love that site so much, tons of coupons available) so I ended up paying around $8 for this gorgeous top.

PS: In the photo where I'm wearing it, one of the little "triangle/teeth" of the top is folded in, sorry about that.

Anyways, a little about me. I am currently a girl (raised in Texas, ya'll) in college (fun fun...) and I absolutely ADORE fashion and beauty. For beauty, I have to be honest, I am not a "bold" girl, I like to keep things more on the natural and simple side but from time to time, I will throw some bright lips.
